After graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2002 with an MA in Silversmithing, Emma-Kate concentrated on establishing her career in London, basing herself in the hub of Clerkenwell. She has developed her passion for designing opulent tableware with great emphasis on creating products that exude atmosphere; she confirms "they become a focal point to a dining table or a mantelpiece that instantly sparks off comment". Entertaining is a key influence for emma-kate's work, whether it is an intimate affair or an elaborate dinner. Her work is highly functional yet aesthetically beautiful comprising her love of the sea as a key influence.
